PRESS RELEASE: Thousands expected at Al Quds day demonstration in London
The largest Muslim led demonstration in the calendar is set to take place this Friday that will see thousands from across the country coming together to show solidarity and ask for freedom and justice for Palestinians.
Similar demonstrations will be taking place across the world in solidarity with the oppressed in this annual event. The UK demonstration organised by the Justice for Palestine Committee, which includes IHRC will see more than 20 organisations coming together on one platform to talk about the Palestinian cause.
Coaches from around the country are bringing people to converge on London to take part in the demonstration.
Speakers from a broad and diverse spectrum will be taking to the stage this year including speakers from Jews against Zionism and Stop the War Coalition.
Chair of IHRC, Massoud Shadjareh said, “We are calling people to stand united for Palestine. There will be opposition from Zionist groups, but the oppressor always fears the voice of the oppressed.”
