Here at IHRC we have some very exciting events coming up. In particular you can now start booking your tickets for our Autumn/Winter 2014 Know Your Rights Workshop Series. Being ‘innocent’ doesn’t stop the possibility of the police treating you in a humiliating or invasive manner. So make sure you book a ticket and attend a workshop!
There’s also news from the UN with IHRC’s latest oral statement on Iraq as well as some new info on our ‘Documenting Palestine’ event. Remember, the panel discussion (featuring the likes of Zita Holbourne) will be streamed live HEREÂ around the world so be sure to tune in!

AUTUMN/WINTER 2014 KNOW YOUR RIGHTS WORKSHOP SERIES
IHRC has been empowering the community to know their rights since 1997. In Autumn/ Winter 2014, we will be hosting the following fun, practical and interactive ‘Know Your Rights’ workshops:
‘STOP AND SEARCH’ (AND MOST COMMONLY USED DAY-TO-DAY POLICE POWERS) – Saturday, 20 September 2014 from 4 – 7pm
IMMIGRATION CHECKS AND RAIDS – Tuesday, 14 October 2014 from 6.30 – 9pm
TERROR STOPS ON TRAVELLERS – Saturday, 8 November 2014 from 4 – 7pm
PROTEST – Tuesday, 2 December 2014 from 6.30 – 9pm

Tickets for each workshop costs £6. A ticket for the entire Autumn/Winter 2014 Series (all 4 workshops inclusive) will cost £20.

‘ANOTHER DAY’ EXHIBITION
The exhibition features the documentation of Sara Russell’s recent trip to Palestine – she travelled there as part of a delegation last year.
The exhibition runs until 30 September 2014 and entry is free. IHRC Bookshop and Gallery is open Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm and on Saturdays from 10am – 6pm. Make sure you stop by!
