PRESS RELEASE: Clarification regarding the campaign to free Cehel M. Fakeemeeah, Mauritian Prisoner of Faith

IHRC is concerned to hear from campaigners that they have been approached by various parties and individuals to provide funding for the above campaign and legal costs.

IHRC would like to make clear that it has not publicly raised funds for this campaign. The assistance provided in terms of campaigning and the legal team has been privately met. IHRC urges people to be vigilant and not give funds to persons claiming to be raising money for this purpose as resources for this have already been organised.
