PRESS RELEASE: Briefing now available on-line: The Plight of Chechen Refugees in Georgia

Following the 1999 Russian army’s invasion of Chechnya (Republic of Chechnya of the Russian Federation), an estimated 4,000 Chechen refugees now fled to Georgia. Following Georgian government ‘anti-terror’ operations, IHRC expresses concerns over the treatment of Chechen refugees.
