Alert: Send your nominations for the Islamophobia Awards 2008
The Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) announces with sadness the return of the Islamophobia Awards. The spoof awards are the result of ordinary people world-wide nominating and then voting for a list of people by region whom they believe to be the worst perpetrators of Islamophobia in the previous year.
As with previous events, IHRC is asking you – the general public – to nominate and vote for, this year’s contenders. There are five geographical categories:
Africa and the Middle East
Americas
Asia and Australasia
Europe and Russia
UK
A special Award, Islamophobe of the Year, will also be announced later this year.
If you would like to nominate someone, please send us their name and the reason why you’d like to nominate them, if you can please indicate sources or provide URLs to back up your nomination.
