On Saturday 10 August, we hosted a book event with talented, young author, Thalia S.A., for her book Mermaid Lagoon. Thalia journeyed to London all the way from Warwick, with her lovely family, to showcase Mermaid Lagoon, which she wrote at the age of 10. Thalia’s mum, her fiercest advocate and a gifted baker, brought homemade macarons, a pandan cake, and plain cupcakes for our young guests to decorate.

After the interview, Q&A and giveaway, the kids partook in cupcake decorating and drawing activities. We concluded the event a book signing.
