Professor Scott Lucas of the University of Birmingham
and
Dr. Saied Reza Ameli of the University of Tehran

Professor Scott Lucas is Professor of American Studies at the University of Birmingham, England. He is a regular contributor to the New Statesman and to radio and television programmes.

He is the author of numerous books and articles, including Divided We Stand: Britain, the US and the Suez Crisis (1991), and Freedom\’s War: The US Crusade against the Soviet Union, 1945-1956 (1999)

Dr. Saied Reza Ameli is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Tehran. He has written many articles on the subject of globalization and Muslim identity. His books and articles include:
Globalization, Americanization and British Muslim Identity (2002)
