RACISM.  TERRORISM.  IMMIGRATION.  SOCIAL SEGREGATION.  Is this the new age of Britain or just media hysteria playing upon our fears and encouraging racism?  Arun Kundnani a leading commentator on racism, looks behind government policies and malevolent press campaigns in his book ‘The End of Tolerance: Racism in 21st Century Britain’ and analyses why racism is now thriving and explains what can be done to stop it.

Reviews:

Herman Ouseley, former Chair of the Commission for Racial Equality
‘An illuminating analysis of the historic development of British racism, and how this has evolved into the current debates about the demonization of immigrants, asylum-seekers, Muslims, the war on terror, segregation, assimilation, multi-culturalism and Britishness.’

John Pandit, Asia Dub Foundation
‘Kudnani guides us through the history and origins of the nebulous forms of today’s ‘new’ racism’.

“And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! Cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper.”
