Kwame Nimako author and co-author of over 30 books, reports and guidebooks on international relations will join IHRC tomorrow to discuss his latest book ‘The Dutch Atlantic: Slavery, Abolition and Emancipation’ (co-written with Glenn Willemsen). The book provides an informative perspective on the Dutch involvement in the Atlantic slave trade and explains how how the slave trade and slavery intertwined economic, social and cultural elements, including nation-state formation in the Netherlands and across Europe.
The event will be broadcast live on IHRC.TV from 18.30 – 20.30 BST (GMT +1) on Wednesday 19 October and the books will be available for a 15% discount on the night.
