We are extremely concerned about the legality of the exercise of powers in the course of immigration control at borders, under s. 53 and Schedule 7 of the Terrorism Act 2000.  Specifically we are concerned that the powers are being used to copy and retain data stored or accessed through electronic devices.  We would like to hear from any person who has had one or more electronic devices taken from them following a search when either trying to enter or leave England.
