ALERT UPDATE: Release of all detainees from Munazamat Al Dawa Al
Islamiya, Sudan
All the remaining detainees from Munazamat Al Dawa Al Islamiya (see urgent alerts 10th June and 12th July 2002) have been released from detention by the Sudanese security authorities, the last one being Ustaz Abdul Moniem Abu Bakr who was released late Sunday 28/7/2002.
The government succeeded late Saturday evening in imposing its
candidate for the post of Secretary General of the organization its original unfulfilled condition for the release of Dr. Elamin Muhammad Osman.
