Taqwaa means shield. The concept refers to shielding oneself from Allah’s punishment. In this video, the definition of ‘Taqwaa’ is further discussed and probed – we must not shield ourselves completely from Allah as He also possesses numerous loving attributes. Allah has sent guidelines for us which indicate the acceptable ways to act. However he has granted us freedom to think and do as we wish but if we fall into sin he will punish us in order to maintain justice.
