Write to the Supreme Council of Armed Forces in Egypt, demanding them to work towards ensuring the release of Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman.

IHRC gives warm-hearted congratulations for the imminent release of Khairat Al-Shater, Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood and Hassan Malek, businessman and member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Khairat Al-Shater, who has served a total number of 10 years in different prisons in Egypt, was excluded from the presidential pardon.

Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman’s former lawyer receives a ten year prison sentence, for smuggling letters from Sheikh to his followers.

Control orders restrict routine activities. 

IHRC have recently spoken to the family of the blind Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman, regarding his failing health and deprived prison conditions.

IHRC requests all campaigners to write letters of support and encouragement to Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman, especially with the month of Ramadan fast approaching.
