Tuesday, 21st December 2010, 10 am to 1 pm
PAIH, 6th floor, 98 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1PJ
Positive Action in Housing is holding an end of year ‘surgery’ to ensure that destitute asylum seekers receive food, hygiene packs, sleeping bags, and if possible, shelter with our volunteers, and some cash support over Xmas and New Year. On Tuesday 21 December, we are giving out Food, Hygiene Packs, warm blankets and Cash Support to as many Destitute Asylum Seekers as possible, with priority given to the most vulnerable. Hot tea and soup/bread will be provided for all those attending.
Organisations wishing to refer such clients should email home@paih.org beforehand with details of clients you wish to refer, and any exceptional circumstances or additional vulnerabilities or issues of concern we should be aware of.
It would be most helpful if each destitute person/family brings a letter of referral though we appreciate this will not be possible with such short notice.
Supporters are encouraged to bring in gift bags of sealed food items, chocolates, tangerines, tealight candles and warm, clean blankets to the office at 98 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1PJ. Either drop these in before Tuesday 21st December or bring them in on Tuesday morning before 10.30 am and help out.
To confirm you will drop donations in or attend, please email home@paih.org, Anyone willing to volunteer to provide and/or hand out hot food or drink on Tuesday is asked to email home@paih.org immediately.
Anyone wishing to give a monthly donation can do so at: (LINK). Alternatively, post a cheque to Admin Manager, PAIH, 98 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1PJ.
