Event Alert: Sweden – British Muslims and the Media, lecture by Massoud Shadjareh; Talk with Massoud Shadjareh, Moazzam Beg and Asim Qureshi
IHRC Chair Massoud Shadjareh will be speaking at the MMRK and ASR conference, ‘Media’s War on Terror’ on 3 October, 2009 at Bio Rio, Hornstulls strand 3, Stockholm, Sweden from 14.10 – 14.40.
He will also be participating in a talk with former Guantanmo detainee Moazzam Beg, and Asim Siddiqui from CaegPrisoners at the conference, from 14.40 – 15.30.

Welcome to assist at the event of the year, the seminar “Media’s War on Terror, arranged by the Muslim Human Rights Committee along with the National Association of Afro-Swedes. During the day we will take a closer look at Swedish media’s coverage of questions pertaining to Muslims in general and the so called War on Terror in particular. What role do Swedish media play in the legitimizing of this new war?
