Zondag 20 januari 2013 organiseert IISR een evenement ter lancering van de website SlavernijOnline.nl, een online kennisbank en discussieplatform die opgezet is in het kader van de 150 jaar afschaffing legale slavernij in de Nederlandse koloniën. Tijdens het evenement zal deze misdaad tegen de menselijkheid op een bijzondere manier worden belicht.
Centraal staat de emotie van de slachtoffers van deze misdaad tegen de menselijkheid.
Aan de hand van oude beelden (schilderijen en tekeningen) geven nazaten van de tot slaaf gemaakte uiting aan het gevoel van de zwarte mensen die op die beelden voorkwamen. Wat dachten ze? Wat voelden ze? Wat voel jij als je naar die beelden kijk? Wat denk je dat zij voelden? De manier van expressie is vrij: een gedicht, een lied, een rap, een speech.
U kunt zich nu al opgeven voor het evenement. Het aantal plaatsen is beperkt (max. 150).
