IHRC’s annual newsletter is now available for download and in hard copy format for physical distribution. Each newsletter comes with donation forms and we’d be so appreciative if you would please consider donating even a small regular amount to us on a monthly basis. IHRC works to raise awareness about human rights and to ensure that existing human rights laws are being properly enforced. Therefore whatever contribution you can make is most highly valued. This year’s newsletter opens with focus on the insidious PREVENT strategy – described as “draconian, discriminatory and destructive.” Learn more about the UK government’s policy and the lengths IHRC are going to in order to challenge it. As the message from the chair Massoud Shadjareh states “we must stop hiding our heads and rise up with confidence.”

Compiled within you will also find a reminder of the numerous events we have hosted over the past year; the major campaigns we have undertaken; how our continuing Hate Crime Project is developing; the achievements of IHRC Legal and so much more. In the past year IHRC has produced the acclaimed documentary: ‘Forgotten Genocide’ which was screened at the esteemed Rich Mix and also commemorated Genocide Memorial Day in London, Birmingham and Paris. 2015 saw an exhibition launch, author evenings and the publication of our report on Islamophobia in the UK. It has certainly been a productive year and we hope you’re excited to read all about it. May the words energise and inspire you to also become part of the struggle for justice.
