Saudi Arabia sent 1,000 troops to Bahrain to help the ruling Al Khalifa family in its brutal crackdown on anti-government protesters. Scores of people have been killed and hundreds, including doctors and journalists, arrested in the Saudi-backed crackdown on peaceful protesters in Bahrain.

By immediately getting militarily involved in Bahrain and still failing to take action against Israel, Saudi Arabia has once again proven its hypocrisy, a political activist says.

Press TV has interviewed Spokesmen for the Islamic Human Rights Commission, Raza Kazim, to get his views on the influence of Al-Quds Day, set forward by late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini.

Imam Khomeini declared the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan as the International Day of Quds in August 1979, calling for international rallies to express rage against the Palestinian predicament and raise public awareness about the roots and nature of the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
