Press Release: Demonstration Against Israeli atrocities in Lebanon and Palestine and No Attack on Syria and Iran, Saturday 22 July

Saturday 22 July 2006
Assembly at 12pm in Whitehall Place (nearest tube station is Embankment) end with a rally in Hyde Park.

IHRC is one of dozens of NGOs and civil society organisations that has called the demonstration against continued Israeli aggression, atrocities and crimes against humanity against Palestine and Lebanon, as well as calling again for no attack on Syria and Iran.

IHRC Chair, Massoud Shadjareh said:

“The least that any of us can do is protest the crimes against humanity being perpetrated against the Palestinians and Lebanese. The fact that the British government has been unmoved by the plight of innocent Palestinian and Lebanese victims is another example of its moral bankruptcy.”

The Demonstration is called by:

Stop the War coalition, Muslim Association of Britain, British Muslim initiative, Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Lebanese Muslim League, Lebanese Welfare Community, Palestinian Forum, Palestine Return Centre, Islamic Forum Europe, UK Islamic Mission, Islamic Society of Britain, Dawat -ul-Islam, Islamic Human Rights Commission, Islamic Centre-London, Friends of Al-Aqsa, FOSIS, 1990 Trust, and others.
