IHRC appeals to UN Special Rapporteur on Torture to take up case of Bahraini human rights activists subjected to torture and other forms of abuse after being arrested during current crackdown on civil society activists and critics of the government.
The IHRC, one of the organizers of the annual Al-Quds Day rally in London on 4 September, has called on pro-Palestinian and anti-fascist groups not to be intimidated by counter-demonstrations organized by the EDL, the Jewish Defense League and other Zionist and far-right groups.
IHRC has appealed to the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders to take up the case of Dr Abduljalil Al-Singace, arrested in Bahrain after speaking at House of Lords and meeting with Amnesty International.
