The event discussed Spinwatch’s new report, co-authored by David Miller, Tom Mills, Tom Griffin and Samir Seddougui and co-funded by the European Union.  The report can be downloaded here [EXTERNAL LINK].

This report details the role of European media groups in disseminating Islamophobia. It offers an analysis of the role and significance of the news media, detailing the political networks of which these organisations are part and analysing their relationship with political elites and social movements. It offers a critique of the idea that the media are the primary driving force of Islamophobic ideas; recognising that such reporting is shaped by political institutions, networks and movements.
