DOCUMENTARY VIEWINGS
Cutting edge documentaries on Chechnya
2005 marks the 11th year since Russia launched her brutal war in Chechnya. A quarter of the Chechen population has been killed and a comparable number displaced. Rampant human rights abuses and near daily disappearances of ordinary Chechen men, women and children by Russian forces have reached such a level that in March 2005 described the situation as a \\\’Crime against Humanity\\\’.
More than ever there is a moral and humanitarian imperative for the common citizen to demand an immediate end to the most violent conflict to have occurred in Europe since the Second World War.
The Save Chechnya Campaign is a UK based grassroots organisation highlighting the human rights situation in Chechnya and supporting any initiative which calls for an immediate, just and lasting end to this tragic conflict.
The exhibition will be an excellent opportunity to acquaint yourself with the Killing Fields of Europe. We also need your help to continue and expand our work by contributing to our fundraising appeal.
