On July 11, 2010 in Johannesburg, South Africa, the two best soccer teams in the world will compete for the World Cup. This match will be enjoyed live by hundreds of millions of people throughout the globe.
Fifteen years ago on July 11, 1995 in the small Bosnian town of Srebrenica, genocide revisited Europe. On this very same date, over 8300 boys and men were brutally murdered under the “protection” of the United Nations peacekeeping forces.
People all over the world have suffered from racism and genocide.
AT THE WORLD CUP FINAL we invite everybody, at the stadium in Johannesburg and across the world, to STAND IN HONOUR OF ALL THE VICTIMS OF GENOCIDE.
On this 15th anniversary of the Srebrenica Massacre, we invite you to express your condolences to the victims of genocide worldwide and to reaffirm FIFA’s message against racism. Against intolerance. Against genocide.
