About the author:
Fatema Zahra is an educator and storyteller who specialises in simplifying complex ideas for children, blending historical lessons, spiritual teachings, and current events into engaging and relatable narratives. Passionate about fostering compassion and resilience, she helps young minds understand profound concepts like justice, faith, and global challenges in a digestible way. Through her work, Fatema inspires children to connect with the world around them, empowering them to embrace their role in creating positive change.
About the illustrator:
Nadine Issa is an illustrator from a special village called Malkeye in southern Lebanon. Growing up, she was part of both Lebanese and Palestinian communities. Because of the lack of recognition of village borders, she has both Lebanese and Palestinian citizenships, and she feels proud to share in both cultures. Nadine’s early life was shaped by stories of resilience and friendship from both sides, which inspire her art. Her illustrations often reflect themes of home, hope, and togetherness, showing how both Lebanese and Palestinian communities face challenges with strength and unity.
Nadine Issa has gifted her illustrations to you to help raise funds for Lebanon. We encourage you to support Nadine and her inspiring work through the following link: buymeacoffee.com/nadineart
