1. Intro
Following the hate arson attack that burnt down an Islamic Centre in Muswell Hill, UK, IHRC have raised their concerns once more about the lack of seriousness from law enforcement about protecting Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim. We had already warned the police that anti-Muslim hatred has been spreading across the country since the Woolwich murder with a wave of attacks against Muslims, mosques and perceived Muslim targets, and asked for their appropriate response.
Meanhwile, we also held two major vigils against Zionist oppression. One countering the celebration of 65 Years of Israel, and the second to call on G4S shareholders to divest from its Israeli ventures.
More details on these as well as our other events, campaigns, research and advocacy.

Essential Readings Pack: The Americas Part 1
Looking for some key texts on US supremacism, its history and current crises and the dangers it poses for the rest of the world? IHRC Bookshop has put together a pack of key readings from Malcolm X. Sylviane A. Diouf, Vinay Lal, Emmanuel Todd and Frederic F. Clairmont.
IHRC urged campaigners and activists to protest against G4S outside the G4S AGM for their provision of expertise and security systems to Israeli prisons, and their complicity in the detention and torture of Palestinian children. G4S’s shareholders must be reminded not to put their profits above human rights violations and that they must use their influence to pressure G4S to terminate all its contracts and business dealings with Israel.
Action Alert: Bahrain – Demand an end to torture of the prominent figures of the Bahraini uprising
The administration of Bahrain’s Jau prison continues to deny the prominent figures of the Bahrain uprising their basic human rights. Furthermore, they have prevented them from family visits and for more than two consecutive months have deprived them of health care and their other basic hygiene needs, unless they bow down to the prison’s conditions, which specifically requires them to wear the uniform of criminal prisoners.
IHRC requests campaigners and supporters to write letters and emails to their country’s foreign minister and the UN.
