Talk 1: why the attack on niqab?
on Monday October 5th 2009, shaikh Muhammad Sayyed Tantawi, head of Al Azhar University, Egypt ordered a school girl to remove her Niqab. He went further to state that he would seek a ban on the face veil in all schools affiliated to Al Azhar. he’s not alone in the attack on niqab.
Muslim scholar and many western government such as France, Holland, Belgium and Italy are discussing this age-old argument regarding the Muslim woman’s dress. The question is WHY? this talk will explain how the niqab and distance them away from abiding by the sharia, as part of a global attempt to suppress the growing support the rise of Islam

Talk 2: How should we respond?
Wen are living in a time when many Islamic belief and obligations are being attacked. without political awareness we may fall into the trap of supporting the niqab ban because we believe it is not obligation. or we may defend it from the basis of freedom which is a secular value. as Muslim women we must respond!
The question is HOW? this requires us to be aware of the issues surroundings the niqab and the impact of such attacks. this talk will equip us with practical ways to respond in a clear and strong manner while remaining steadfast to the truth.

(1) A day when I go out and meet someone more knowledgeable than me, so I learn from him, and that is the day of my benefit and profit.
